Come visit! I love the energy of anyone working at this spot. The wholeheartedly believe in the power of this place vs. Some random teenagers just having a summer job. They just acquired the first animal mutliation ever documented recently. It's fun to read all the news articles about Snippy the horse
Neat little place with camping spots. We stayed the night; the camping spots are very close to each other but no one was very noisy. Slept in peace.
There is a little gift shop open during the day; the lady worker with dreads was very nice and she seem happy to be working and talking to customers.
I paid a $5 dlr entrance fee per person.
$15 for a camping spot.
No trees or shade on the camping site.
It’s a nice place to see at least once.
What a sweet, impromptu stop to make on a road trip. I had no idea this place existed and was pleasantly surprised to pull over and witness this cultural representation of what folks thinks make is human, and learn more about the UFO phenomenon. It’s small, but a fun hour or so out of your day.
We went maybe 4 months ago on our trip to the other side of the mountains. Cool little spot. They say there are two energy vortexes there and be cautions because you may feel weird. Can’t say I felt anything, but my girlfriend? She got the strangest feeling of almost being sick..slight vibrations..and just all around an out of place strange feeling. I don’t think she will be coming back..but I might make the drive again? Lol I want to experience something cool
Love this place, it's magical. I've been a couple times and I love to look at all the objects left by other travelers. I have not yet seen a UFO there, nor have I been "probed ".... or have I... (que x-files music)
Inspiring place to visit. Off the beaten path, but a definite must visit, especially if you're visiting The Great Sand Dunes.
If you're into UFOs, spiritual or mystical places, or even a place to experience the possibilities of "what if", then this is THE location to visit. I absolutely loved being here.
Stopped by here after seeing signs leaving GSDNP. Loved it! There was a very sweet lady with cool tattoos working who was the perfect fit for the job, made the stop as exciting as it could be. Gave us free stickers and told us a bunch of awesome stories. She was the best! A definite stop while you’re in the valley!
After years of passing this stop without time to visit, we stopped on a Sunday afternoon in April on our way to the Dunes. While the main ticket office/gift shop was closed, there’s multiple admission deposit boxes, so bring cash. $5/person, kids 6 & under are free. There was a portalet on site with toilet paper. We enjoyed the vortex garden & made a few contributions for fun. From the watch tower deck, we didn’t see any UFOs but did catch the largest dust devil I’ve ever seen from the top!
